Welcome to Fusion Scape

At Fusion Scape, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where young people in Derby and the Midlands can thrive. Through a variety of dynamic programs, we aim to nurture the potential of our youth, empowering them with the skills, confidence, and opportunities needed to shape a brighter future. Our mission is simple but impactful: to empower young people by providing them with the tools to succeed in life. This means creating opportunities for them to engage in mentorship, develop financial literacy, embrace entrepreneurship, and practice social responsibility. These initiatives are designed to build not only practical skills but also a sense of self-determination and confidence that will serve them for years to come. Our Programs and Impact Fusion Scape offers a range of community programs designed to cater to the diverse needs of young people. From sports camps to music sessions, our programs are tailored to engage children and youth in activities that are fun, educational, and transformative. Mentorship and Leadership Development One of our core offerings is our mentorship program, where young people are guided by experienced professionals. Whether through financial literacy workshops or entrepreneurship training, these programs encourage participants to develop critical thinking, social responsibility, and personal accountability. We recently had the honor of hosting Sanchia Miller, a former solicitor and TEDx speaker, who shared her inspiring journey of overcoming adversity to become the CEO of a successful property management company. Her story resonated deeply with our participants, highlighting the power of perseverance and the importance of role models in shaping young minds. Lightzone HAF Sessions Our Lightzone HAF (Holiday Activities and Food) sessions are an incredible initiative aimed at supporting children aged 8–16. These fully booked sessions provide not only engaging activities but also healthy meals for children from families with limited resources. We are proud to say that we’re expanding these sessions, as we continue to see the growing demand for quality activities that support both physical and emotional well-being. Sports and Fitness Camps Physical fitness and teamwork are key pillars of our programs. Our Sports Camps have become a beloved part of our offerings, with young people participating in a variety of sports, including basketball, football, and netball. These camps encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness while creating a sense of community among participants. One of the highlights this year was our Basketball Program, where we were able to provide participants with free tickets to watch the Super League Basketball Finals at the Motorpoint Arena. This exposure to professional sports was an inspiring experience for many, fostering a love for basketball and showing participants that anything is possible with dedication and hard work. Kickboxing: Building Confidence and Strength Our Kickboxing Program has seen great success in empowering youth. It’s not just about physical strength; it’s about building inner confidence, discipline, and resilience. With new funding, we were able to expand our sessions, reaching even more children in underserved areas. In some of our classes, children recently earned their first brown belts, marking significant milestones in their personal development. What’s Coming Next at Fusion Scape? We’re excited about what the future holds for Fusion Scape. As we continue to expand and evolve, we are focused on creating more opportunities for young people to get involved in activities that will help them grow into confident, capable adults. Stay tuned for our upcoming events and tournaments, which will include a wide range of community-focused activities. We are committed to staying at the forefront of youth empowerment, ensuring that no child is left behind. Join Us At Fusion Scape, we believe in the power of community. Together, we are building a network of mentors, coaches, and participants who are passionate about creating positive change. Covid-19 Early Years BAME Support(0-5 years)

High Commission for Human Rights recognises play as a right of every child, but this birth-right is being challenged by the coronavirus crisis as access to play is limited. Therefore, the project aims to provide 12 weeks early years support to children 0 – 5 from BAME backgrounds. This will ensure young children continue to enjoy the right to play. COVID-19 Early Years Support includes a virtual nursery and a learning resources scheme that will stimulate learning through play at home. This will enable children to develop communication and motor skills, problem-solving abilities that enhances school readiness. The virtual nursery delivers arts and crafts, physical activities, and cookery sessions to increase children’s learning. Parents and careers will be given a specific log in detail to access the virtual nursery three times a week. The learning resource scheme supports creative learning at home by supplying arts and crafts and play equipment to hard-pressed families who cannot afford and those self-isolating.
