Community Consultation Derby – Summer and Autumn 2018

Using small groups discussions and quantitative surveys, wepartnered with two local primary and two secondary schools to identify local needs.

As part of the consultation, we met teachers, community leaders, clergy, Neighbourhood Boards, Local Area Co-ordinators, and Resident’s Association.

Consultation feedback suggestedsignificant high numbers ofchildren do not take part in physical or art activitiesdue to restricted access to opportunities for participation.

Workshops:

Performing Arts and Representative Art

Music tuition for beginners and intermediates (piano, drums, and guitar lessons). This includes theory, practice, and learningthe art of live performance.

Drama lessons ‘a fictional representation through dialogue and storytelling.

Urban hip-hop/street dance training style to include popping, locking, choreographing, and performing.

Painting and DIY Art
