Community Consultation Derby – Summer and Autumn 2018

Using small groups discussions and quantitative surveys, wepartnered with two local primary and two secondary schools to identify local needs. As part of the consultation, we met teachers, community leaders, clergy, Neighbourhood Boards, Local Area Co-ordinators, and Resident’s Association. Consultation feedback suggestedsignificant high numbers ofchildren do not take part in physical or art activitiesdue to restricted access to opportunities for participation. Alvaston Wildfire2019 Support children and young people to express themselves, their emotions, and aspirations through creative and sporting activities. Summer, Autumn, and Winter Holidays 2019/2020 Workshops: Performing Arts and Representative Art Music tuition for beginners and intermediates (piano, drums, and guitar lessons). This includes theory, practice, and learningthe art of live performance. Drama lessons ‘a fictional representation through dialogue and storytelling. Urban hip-hop/street dance training style to include popping, locking, choreographing, and performing. Leadership and social action to broaden understanding of leadership within a social context and how these skills can be used in bringing about change in the local community. To Inspire and take the lead in finding solutions to localised problems. Social Mix and Cultural Awareness to learn and build relationships with people from different cultures, social backgrounds, and nationality.
